Question: What is copyright?

Copyright is a form of protection grounded in the U.S Constitution and granted by law for original works of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression. Copyright protects original works of authorship. It covers both published and unpublished works. Copyright is a form of a property law that protects literary, dramatic, musical, poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. The United States has copyright relations with other countries throughout the world.
